From Pisces to Aquarius

A bit more than 2000 years ago, three wise men, astronomers and astrologers, the Magi: Melchior, Caspar and Balthazar spotted a new star in the sky. According to their studies, calculations and observations, the appearance of such a new celestial body signified that something of great importance was taking place on the Earthly plane.

Indeed two significant events occurred roughly at that time: Jesus Christ was born and our world astrologically entered the Age of Pisces.

Are these two events linked?

Recall how the first Christians identified each other and how they symbolized their faith in Jesus.

They drew a simple fish shape.

Why?

At the time of Jesus, one of the most widely spoken languages in that part of the world was Greek. The Greek word for “fish” is “ΙΧΘΥΣ”, which stands as an acronym for:

Ιησούς

Χριστός

Θεού

Υιός

Σωτήρ

meaning «Jesus Christ Son of God Savior».

Pisces is fish. Fish is ΙΧΘΥΣ. ΙΧΘΥΣ is Jesus.

There seems to be an interesting synchronicity between the birth and presence of Jesus on Earth and our (approximate) entrance to the Age of Pisces.

Now, roughly 2000 years later, astrologists agree that we are entering the Age of Aquarius. What they don’t seem to agree upon is the exact year of transition. Some say we are in the Ages of Aquarius already (since 2012 perhaps). Others place it closer to the present. Some expect it even later. The shift is anticipated to take place during the March equinox.

Another theory, the "wave" theory, suggests that the Age of Aquarius will not arrive on a given date but is instead emerging gradually over many years. We may well be in this gradual transitional phase at present.

Many astrologers perceive the Age of Aquarius as the time when humanity will experience an advanced revelation of truth and an expansion of consciousness, an awakening. According to this theory, the shift will become possible (or visible) when a critical mass of people experience spiritual enlightenment, so that the collective consciousness of humanity can be elevated to a higher level.

Aquarius means “water carrier”, from the Latin root “aqua”, meaning “water”.

Water is precious: a requirement for our existence.

Aquarius is therefore the carrier of an element vital to life.

Two thousand years ago, enlightenment came through a single Pisces: Jesus Christ.

This time around, enlightenment may come in another form: through multiple Aquariuses: vessels of knowledge and intuition, bearers of love, carriers of truth, and containers of light, holy grails of wisdom scattered across the globe. Men and women gifted with the ability to explore ideas that have not yet widely emerged into the material world so that they eventually do. These are people open and willing to receive cosmic information, communicate with the environment, promote social harmony and connect all people and all concepts.

I am blessed to have met some of these people.

Namaste.
